We have 24 sites in the Reno, Sparks, Fernley, Ely and Winnemucca communities.
Normal business hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Programming hours vary by site, and change periodically based on seasons, school schedules and holidays.
At the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows, our goal is to give kids a fun, healthy environment that gives them the tools to develop life skills. Opportunities for members are as diverse as our membership. Kids might choose to do an art project in our art room, hit up the computer lab to check e-mail or play games, take part in Reno Ballers or another sports league, or just hang out with friends in one of our common areas. Tutoring help is available in our library and homework rooms, giving youth and teen members great tools to build great futures. Check out our Programs and Services page for more information.
The annual membership fee at the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows is just $20. Financial assistance is available. Our $20 membership fee is supplemented by diverse funding sources, from government and private grants, to the generosity of the northern Nevada businesses and families. Before & After School program is $25 per week for the After School program; $15 per week for the Before School program (only applicable at select sites). Financial assistance is available.
School Break program is $40 per week during Lyon and WCSD school breaks. Financial assistance is available.
Traditional Summer Camp program for youth members is $40 week, which includes two meals and activities. Field trips are also available for a minimal additional fee. Financial Assistance is available. It is important to the Boys & Girls Club to make our Club facilities and programs available to any child who wants or needs it, regardless of economic circumstances. The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows’ membership varies throughout the year, based on circumstances like season, school track breaks, and sports leagues. Annually, the Club serves more than 13,500 kids at locations throughout the Truckee Meadows and Fernley. At the Club’s main site, the Donald W. Reynolds Facility in Reno, daily youth populations can run from a couple hundred to nearly 1,000.
Many of the Club’s sites have full kitchens, and offer full meal service through a state-funded nutrition program that is supplemented by the Club and donors like Model Dairy. Annually, this means the Club is able to serve more than 400,000 healthy meals a year. The menu, developed under the watchful eye of our executive Cook, is constantly changing in an effort to improve the nutritional value of meals.
The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows-has Four Early Learning Centers that offers programming for infants, toddlers, pre-schoolers and kindergartners. Children are offered individual attention, education, art and physical fitness in a modern facility with highly trained staff. Parents and guardians of youth members are required to watch the mandatory orientation video prior to registering their child.
