2020 SUMMER CAMP

SUMMER CAMP 2020

The weather is warm and summer is upon us.
Our staff is trained and excited to welcome more Club kids at four of our Clubhouses as of June 1.

Our two main Clubhouses have been open since mid-March to serve the children of healthcare workers, first responders and essential workers-only. As we carefully enter Governor Sisolak’s “Phase Two,” we are preparing our staff and facilities for a slight increase in members. The safety of our members is of the utmost importance to us and we must be able to adhere to CDC guidelines and protocols at all times. This unfortunately means that our building capacities will be drastically limited and camp offerings will be different than in previous summers. Stimulating, unique Club summer fun will remain on our campuses and fieldtrips and specialty camps will return next year.

We are currently at capacity for our Summer program. We are encouraging parents to join our Summer Camp waiting list by clicking the button below and completing our online form. A BGCTM staff member will contact you if a position in our camp becomes available. Thank you for your patience and understanding. The Club is dedicated to providing programming to our members, even if it has to be virtually, Please read on to learn about our virtual summer camp.

Virtual Summer Programming

The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows wants to reach as many youth as possible this summer, despite our capacity limits.  That is why we are introducing VIRTUAL PROGRAMMING for all Club kids (6-12 yr old) who are unable to attend our traditional summer camp.  We will be hosting virtual activities in our five core areas Art, STEM, Health & Lifeskills, Character & Leadership and Sports, Fitness and Recreation. Virtual programming will begin June 8th on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM.  To register, or get more information, please email: VirtualProgramming@bgctm.org

Club on The Road

This summer we are partnering with Communities In Schools to bring our community “Club On The Road”! Join us for a summer of fun, safe, outdoor activities (using social distancing, of course)! Club on the Road is geared towards middle school and teen populations (13-18) and the programming will be age-appropriate and awesome. Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday  we will gather at public parks across the community- all our teens need to do is show up!  We will provide lunch, water, shade, sunblock, face masks and gloves where appropriate. This service is free and begins June 9th. Interested?  email: ClubOnTheRoad@bgctm.org
